As a VP, Publisher Operations, you will be working on global initiatives for competitive esports titles. You will lead successful operational & financial delivery of all EFG Publisher projects and move them to the next level. Building partnerships, leading logistic efforts, overseeing budgets, and streamlining all aspects to ensure efficient execution of each project. All while working with a community of passionate individuals to bring our mission of “where everybody can be somebody” to life.

  • This is a remote position with the ideal candidate residing in Europe, preferably in the GMT+2 time zone.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead successful operation & financial delivery of all ESL Publisher projects
  • Collaborate with partners, build and maintain strategic relationships, and work to define and execute long-term, mutually beneficial business partnerships
  • Own relationships throughout the entire lifecycle, beginning with negotiation of publisher deals, MSAs, and contracts; this includes overseeing the creation of budgets and project plans for publisher and developer partnerships
  • Bring ideas to life by operationalizing new concepts and programs around ESL in collaboration with our PubDev team
  • Travel to events to solidify relationships with partners and witness the fruits of your labor
  • Oversee reporting pipelines, ensuring information related to publisher operations is available to all relevant parties
  • Build an industry leading team; setting clear goals, creating development opportunities, and continually sharing your experience/insight with both direct reports and employees throughout the organization in general
  • Continuously work towards harmonizing workflows across different departments / entities to ensure the maximum compatibility in running international projects with local & global leaders
  • Adapt to and overcome all issues related to publisher projects
  • Maintain transparent communication between internal stakeholders, team members, and partners
  • Drive the publisher and developer strategy, serving as the subject matter expert and educating on key industry trends/developments to groups across ESL


What you need:

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive publisher development/operational leadership experience with increasing managerial responsibilities
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Communication, Sales, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Exhibit stellar financial acumen and diligence, able to keep projects on track and in budget
  • Strong presentation preparation and delivery capabilities
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organization, and the ability to carry out several tasks at the same time
  • Passion for employee development
  • Demonstrated excellent ability to communicate in the English language, both spoken and written

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in video games, esports entertainment, broadcasting, or other entertainment industry
