Senior Director, DreamHack Festivals, America

What you’ll do

Reporting to the SVP of DreamHack Festivals, you will be responsible for managing the creative planning, delivery, and development of DreamHack’s festivals in the United States.

We see you as the pivotal collaborator and game-changer to drive the growth and develop DreamHack festivals through regionalizing our global strategy and implementing it in the market, managing a team of product managers, and building strong relationships with stakeholders outside of the product team.

Your key responsibilities

  • Using the overarching DreamHack product strategy to set the creative vision, content, and objectives for each DreamHack festival in the market
  • Managing a team of product managers to see the creative vision & content through, in close collaboration with stakeholders in our operations, marketing, and partnerships departments
  • Collaborating with our marketing & consumer commercial teams to set the ticketing strategy for each DreamHack festival in the market
  • Joining the global DreamHack leadership team to develop the overarching strategy and core product, as well as sharing best practices across regions
  • Managing and co-developing an inventory of commercial opportunities for brand partners, publishers, and developers with our partnerships teams
  • Updating DreamHack leadership team proactively of status of the product, its established goals, deviations from the goals, on a regular cadence


Requirements:

What you need

  • Minimum 12 years experience in creative direction and contribution of consumer events in the video games or popular culture space
  • Experience in managing a team of both junior and senior creative contributors, communicating clear objectives & key results, delegating appropriately, and following up on a regular cadence
  • Enhance relationships geographically
  • Create a team which is empowered to make decisions and create successful events
  • Proven ability to make decisions and push forward in complex situations where time is of the essence
  • Experience in presenting & championing ideas to leadership roles
  • Open to working flexible hours as needed due to the nature of event organizing
