About the position

Over the past few of years, we have significantly grown our operations and cooperations with leading global, continental, and national sports IP holders.

Since DreamHack Sports Games recent integration into the ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) we’ve amplified our ambitions to grow and expand our cooperations in the Sports Games vertical.

We’re therefore looking for a person that can directly lead the process to identify, negotiate and contract new Sports IP Holders, Sports Games publisher and platform cooperations into the Sports Games product vertical.

As the Head of Strategic Partnerships, you will report and work directly with the President of EFG Sports Games to analyse, develop and negotiate new Sports Games business opportunities.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Leading the growth path of EFG Sports Games from start to finish
  • Analysing and identifying new opportunities of growth in the Sports Games vertical
  • Developing business plans and new strategic cooperations
  • Creating financial models and business plans
  • Negotiating key terms and long form agreements with clients
  • Challenge the status quo and facilitate optimization efforts across the projects

Hypothetical breakdown of the role and responsibilities:

  • 40% Strategic analysis / building business cases
  • 35% (potential) Client facing / business opportunity discussions
  • 25% Internal Project / new business discussions


Your skills and experience

  • 7-10 years of similar finance/business development experience (3-4 years within a consultancy firm/role).
  • Experience in M & A
  • Making error-free pitch decks both on the buying and selling-side
  • Solid experience with Power Point and Excel
  • Master’s degree in business, economics or another relevant field
  • Fluent in English
  • Working independently and proactively
  • Ability and knowledge to create strategic presentations that support sales/partnerships teams.
  • Sports / (Sports) Gaming / Esports industry knowledge and experience is an advantage, but not a requirement, as long as you’re passionate and eager to learn about the Sports Games industry
